Scientists have sent an invitation to visit aliens at a distance of almost 40 light years from Earth.
A group of linguists and scientists from Kentucky, USA, sent a message to the TRAPPIST-1 system, which contains several potentially habitable planets, inviting extraterrestrial beings to visit. The scientists themselves called their message “the world’s first advertisement for interstellar travel.” Space.com reported this on Wednesday, January 10.
The content of the message, in the form of an encoded bitmap image of a person, horses and some chemical compounds, was approved by the US Federal Aviation Administration.
“We included images representing the elements of life, our iconic Lexington hills and the molecular structure of water, bourbon and even dopamine… Because Lexington is fun!” explains linguistics expert Andrew Bird.

The VisitLEX team behind the message says that living beings, if present on TRAPPIST-1, will receive an image inviting them to visit Lexington in 2063.
We remind you that early signals from an alien civilization were seen in China.
