Former Deputy Prosecutor General Olga Kolinko and her daughter Yaroslava were found dead in Kyiv. National Police representative Elena Berezhnaya reported this in a comment on LIGA.net.
According to him, the women’s bodies had no signs of violent death, and the nearby apartments were locked from the inside.
According to preliminary data, the women died at different times – the mother about two months ago, and the daughter about three weeks ago.
The women’s bodies have been transferred for a forensic medical examination, as a result of which the causes of death will be established and further procedural decisions will be made, a representative of the National Police.
Olga Kolinko is 71 years old. According to the Mirror of the Week, the woman has been seriously ill for years and has not gone out, and her daughter, who lives in a nearby apartment, takes care of her.
Kolinko held the position of Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine twice: in 1993 – 2000. and in 2003 – 2005. In particular, he was one of the main investigators in the case of former Prime Minister Pavel Lazarenko. In 2001-2003, he headed the Committee for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption under President Leonid Kuchma. In 2005, Kolinko was fired by Prosecutor General Svyatoslav Piskun.
Let’s recall that in August 2023, a colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine was found dead in his office in Kyiv. In October, a deputy from the Shabovsky rural community in the Odessa region shot himself in his home.
