The Ukrainian army took 18th place in the ranking of the most powerful armies in the world, losing three positions compared to 2023. This is confirmed by data from the international company Global Firepower, which annually accumulate a rating of the best army in the world.
American analysts ranked the countries of the world based on an analysis of the available firepower of 145 countries in the world.
In the ranking of the best army in the world, Ukraine is between Israel (17th place) and Germany (19th place). The power index is 0.2598, while a score of 0.0000 is considered “ideal”.
The top five armies in the world by rating include the USA, Russia, China, India and South Korea.
The experts who compiled the rating emphasized that Ukraine’s military power is supported by financial and material support from Western allies, including the United States.
Analysts use more than 60 individual factors from various categories to compile the global firepower ranking, including the number of military units, financial health, geography and logistics capabilities.
Let’s recall that in 2022 Ukraine was ranked 22nd in the ranking of the most powerful army in the world, while in 2023 it rose to 15th.
