We will pay pensions and benefits on time,” Denis Shmigal said on New Year’s Eve. The Prime Minister of Ukraine noted that last year the state demonstrated exemplary fulfillment of social obligations. In the structure of expenditures of the consolidated budget, social payments accounted for more than 12%.
This will be one of our priorities this year. We will pay pensions and benefits on time. There are internal resources, as well as the support of our partners,” Smigal is confident.
Let us recall that earlier the Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovich suggested that in the absence of international financial assistance, the indexation of pensions in 2024 may not take place.
Economy Minister Yulia Sviridenko said that the Ukrainian government may face the prospect of delays in the payment of pensions and salaries to civil servants if international partners do not decide to release the promised financial assistance in the near future.
