In the past 24 hours, several units of thermal power plants have undergone emergency repairs.
As of Wednesday morning, there was enough electricity in Ukraine to ensure the supply of electricity to consumers. But during the day, a deficit in the energy system is predicted – up to 3%. It was reported by Ukrainergo January 10.
The company has assured that the full operating capacity of the power plants will be used to make up the shortfall. There are no plans to introduce consumer limit schedules.
“We ask consumers in the coming days to pay attention to the use of electrical energy appliances throughout the day from 09:00 to 19:00,” we asked energy consumers.
The level of electricity consumption in Ukraine continues to grow. On January 9, the daily maximum consumption was 3% more than the day before.
Today, maximum load on the energy system is expected in the morning and afternoon. According to the forecast, its level will remain high throughout the day – from 9:00 to 19:00. At 9:00 the consumption level was 2.2% higher than yesterday morning.
The reason is the frosty temperature throughout Ukraine. In addition, in the past 24 hours, more than 500 communities without electricity in some regions due to bad weather have been strengthened. In areas where power supply is being restored, power consumption is growing rapidly.
All Ukrainian power plants operate at maximum power. At the same time, the resources of hydroelectric power plants are limited, and solar power plants cannot operate at maximum capacity due to thick clouds and bad weather. Several units of the thermal power plant underwent emergency repairs during the day.
We remind you that on the morning of January 10, 523 settlements remained without power in Ukraine. The most common causes of loss are icing of lines and collapse of supports.
