Peruvian police will tighten security measures in the border area with the neighboring country, the Prime Minister said.

Peru’s Prime Minister Alberto Otarola has declared a state of emergency on the border with Ecuador. About this today, January 10, he reported on the X network page.

“Our solidarity is with the sister country of Ecuador in the face of the events it is facing,” the statement said.

It was noted that the Peruvian police would strengthen security measures in the border area with the neighboring country, and declared a state of emergency along Peru’s northern border.

We remind you that yesterday, January 9, in Ecuador, armed men took hostage the presenters and employees of the television channel TCtelevisión live on air. They asked to speak on air and showed the camera that they had explosives.

Last year, there were clashes between prisoners in the western Ecuadorian city of Guayaquil.
