The largest power outages were in the regions of Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa, Nikolaev, and Kirovograd, the Ministry of Energy reported.
Bad weather raged in several regions of Ukraine: due to strong winds and icing of lines, most of the power outages were in the regions of Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa, Nikolaev, and Kirovograd. The press service of the Ministry of Energy reported this today, January 9.
In the Dnepropetrovsk region, almost 29 thousand consumers in 324 settlements are without power supply, in the Odessa region, 268 settlements are without power, in the Nikolaev region – 215, in the Kirovograd region – 146. There is a blackout in Zaporozhye – 59 settlements, Kherson (14), Chernigov (9) and Chernivtsi (8) regions.
It is reported that emergency teams in regions affected by bad weather have been moved to round-the-clock operations; additional equipment from other regions is also being sent there, but the work and movement of power engineers is greatly complicated by the cold conditions.
Earlier it was reported that two people died from hypothermia in the Rivne region. A network of four hundred “indestructibility points” has been deployed in the region where you can stay warm.
