There is no shortage of electricity in the Ukrainian energy system; the development of power plants in Ukraine is sufficient to meet the needs of consumers. The Ministry of Energy reported this on January 7.
It is noted that a negligible import of electricity is predicted for the current day – up to 2 MW/h, export is not expected.
As stated in the Ministry of Energy, as of the morning of January 7, the country’s energy system is balanced. After the emergency repair, a unit of one of the thermal power plants (TPP) started working.
It was also reported that two mines have been disabled as a result of the fighting in the Donetsk region. At the time of the power outage, 18 workers were there. As a result of shelling, equipment was damaged in the territory of a thermal power plant in the Donetsk region.
In addition, as a result of enemy shelling, the overhead line VL 110 in the Kharkov region was turned off, and household consumers were de-energized.
We remind you that in December the energy sector connected 463 thousand consumers after shelling.
As stated in Ukrenergo, there will be no collapse of the Ukrainian energy system even in the event of a massive attack on energy facilities during a cold snap.
