There is no statement on the website of the Danish Ministry of Defense about the delay in the transfer of the F-16, said PS speaker Yuri Ignat on January 6 during the United News telethon.
He believes that Danish media articles citing a Ministry of Defense official are not proof that the planes will allegedly be late.
Berlingske wrote today that the delivery of the first Danish F-16s to Ukraine has been delayed for six months.
In a comment to the publication, the Danish Ministry of Defense notes that a number of conditions have not yet been met for Ukraine to be able to use the transferred aircraft.
It was always said that the necessary prerequisites were present. At the current schedule, the transfer is expected in the second quarter of 2024. We are talking, among other things, about completing the training of Ukrainian personnel who will fly the aircraft after the transfer, and the training schedule depends on several factors, such as material and weather conditions, the Ministry of Defense notes.
The ministry said in a statement that the international air force coalition continues to work to ensure the creation of the necessary material, technical base and infrastructure in Ukraine.
