Cases of respiratory illnesses caused by COVID-19, influenza and other pathogens have been increasing for several weeks in many countries. Doctors expect this to continue after the last holidays. The head of the World Health Organization, Ghebreyes Tedros Adhanom, wrote about this on the social network.
He advised the governments of the countries to restore the mask regime, resume testing for COVID-19 and get vaccinated. Maintaining social distance is also worth it.
Continue to use masks, ventilate and keep your distance. Also make sure you and your loved ones are vaccinated against COVID-19 and influenza,” he wrote.
Let us recall that in May last year, the Chairman of the World Health Organization, Tedros Ghebreys, announced that the WHO no longer considers the spread of coronavirus an emergency of international concern, but covid is still not a global threat to public health.
In Ukraine, the quarantine and state of emergency declared in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic were officially lifted on July 1, 2023.
