The Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence supported the removal of People’s Deputy Maryana Bezugla (a faction of the Servant of the People party) from the post of deputy chairman. The secretary of the committee, Colonel of the SBU Roman Kostenko (Golos faction), told Ukrinform about this.
Another people’s deputy from Golos, Yaroslav Zheleznyak, wrote on his social networks that the decision on Bezugla was almost unanimous (one people’s deputy abstained).
Bezuglaya herself stated that such a decision could only be made by voting in the hall.
Since November 2023, Bezuglaya has called on the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, to resign and criticized him in every possible way, which caused indignation among some deputies and in society.
