Slovakia decided to transfer winter humanitarian aid to Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Slovakia.
“Based on Ukraine’s request for humanitarian assistance, as well as the European Commission’s call for member states to show solidarity with the civilian population affected by the military conflict, the Slovak Republic will provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine in total amount of 203,492 euros,” the statement said.
The weight of the humanitarian aid is 21 tons and will include electric generators, heaters, clothing and first aid kits from the stocks of the Headquarters of the Ecumenical Pastoral Service in the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic and the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic. Also food, bottled water and clothing from the stocks of the Slovak Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The recipients of the aid are the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the regional enterprise Donetskteplokommunenergo and the city council of the city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region.
As reported, Slovak President Zuzana Caputova called for more weapons to be transferred to Kyiv.
