Ukraine has submitted a proposal for associate membership in the International Energy Agency. This was announced on June 15 by the press service of the Ministry of Energy following the IEA Governing Council meeting.
It was noted that the head of the German department Galushchenko confirmed with international partners Ukraine’s commitment to developing cooperation and coordinating efforts to solve common problems in the energy sector.
“Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity and propose to consider the possibility of giving Ukraine the status of an associate member of the International Energy Agency. We look forward to a positive decision and effective cooperation in areas of mutual interest ‘ t one, including energy security, energy data, policy analysis, energy efficiency, and development of renewable energy sources ”, he stressed.
