New Year’s greetings from Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky took place on the night of January 1.

The head of state thanked all Ukrainians who put their lives on hold, put everything off for later, until “after the victory,” as well as everyone who says: “I work, and this is not a feat, but a duty. I finish the night, and this is not a feat, but the norm.” The President emphasized that “we must live by the rule: either you work or you fight.” This is stated in the congratulations published on the president’s YouTube channel.

The war taught us a lot. Showed a lot. She did a lot to us, changed us. The war, unfortunately, separated families, took sons and daughters, and at the same time united us into one big family. And on February 24 we made a choice. And the dry, emotionless truth of the realities of war is that this choice was different. Someone stayed here in Ukraine, someone ran, someone was blocked, someone took out children, someone went to the front, someone saved others, someone saved their family, someone left and stayed there, while someone left and returned home. In Ukraine,” he noted.

Zelensky mentioned the peace formula, which has already been supported by 80 countries. And about security guarantees for Ukraine, to which 30 states have already joined today. And about the “grain corridor,” which, as of December 31, allowed the export of almost 13 million tons of Ukrainian grain.

The president said that in 2023 he held 120 meetings at the leadership level, which brought Ukrainians 156 defense support packages alone. I thanked my partners for the fact that the Ukrainian Armed Forces received “Petriots”, “Irises”, “Highmars”, “Nasams”, “Goki”, “Abrams”, “Leopards” and much more. The Ukrainian leader also expressed hope on the F-16 fighter.

Zelensky promised that in 2024, Russian occupiers will feel the wrath of domestic production. He added that the actions of the defense forces in the Black Sea became a black page in the history of the Russian fleet.

I wish you, your families, loved ones, all your relatives warmth and health. To those who have a kindred heart, may they live long. Let those who have been lost remain in your hearts. Favorite – time. More time. Children – fulfillment of your desires. To all people – human happiness. And to our Ukraine – victory and peace. Happy New Year to you, Ukrainians! Happy New Year, Ukraine! Glory to Ukraine! – the president congratulated.

Let us remind you that the New Year tree in Konstantinovka, Donetsk region, was decorated with things of dead and wounded defenders instead of toys. The Christmas tree stands on both sides of the highway along which Ukrainian units often travel to Chasov Yar on the front line.
