“Dear companion” Kim Jong-un ordered a thorough disinfection in Haeju city.
In North Korea, doctors have recorded an outbreak of chronic intestinal disease in the southwest of the country. This was reported by the Central Telegraph Agency of Korea (KCNA) on Thursday, June 16th.
Indicated in connection with the “outbreak of a chronic intestinal epidemic,” the head of the people’s republic, Kim Jong-un, sent a batch of medicines to the city of Haeju in South Hwanghae province.
The “dear companion” ordered to take “careful quarantine measures” for patients with suspected chronic intestinal infections and to carry out intensive disinfection in the city.
At the same time, the agency did not specify the specific name of the disease and the number of infected people.
Information about a new outbreak of an infectious disease emerged against the backdrop of the DPRK’s ongoing struggle with the spread of the coronavirus. At the same time, it was only on May 12 that the first cases of covid in the country were learned. On June 16, more than 4.5 million cases of “fever” were confirmed in North Korea, and 73 people died.
