A total of 27 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs and 87 X-101/X-555/X-55 cruise missiles were destroyed, the Air Force command reported.
The Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that today, December 29, Russian troops carried out the most powerful air attack. Ukrainian defenders destroyed 114 of 158 enemy air targets.
“Tonight the enemy launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine. Critical infrastructure, industrial and military facilities were attacked. Unfortunately, there were dead and wounded. According to preliminary results , tonight the enemy used 158 air attack weapons against Ukraine: missiles of various types and attack UAVs “Using the forces and means of the Air Force, in cooperation with units of Ukrainian Defense Forces, 114 air targets were destroyed: 27 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs and 87 X-101/X-555/X -55 cruise missiles,” the report said.
It is reported that the Russians traditionally attacked initially with the Shahed from the north and south-east direction, followed by movement in the west direction. A total of 36 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs were recorded.
