The head of the intelligence center of the Estonian Defense Forces recalled that Ukrainian troops had previously carried out similar attacks in Crimea.
One of the biggest successes for Ukraine this year is the transfer of the Russian fleet to the Sea of Azov and the eastern Black Sea, and the destruction of the large landing ship Novocherkassk will once again increase the pressure on the aggressor country. This was said by the head of the intelligence center of the Estonian Defense Forces Ants Kiviselg, reports ERR.
“The Russian Federation is constantly trying to put pressure on the Ukrainian side, and perhaps the most notable event on the ground was the capture of Marinka at the end of last week, from which the Ukrainian units retreated. Otherwise, there will be no significant changes on the front,” he said.
The Estonian official also recalled that Ukrainian troops had previously carried out successful attacks in Crimea. He added that such an attack would require very good planning and understanding where Russian air defense systems are located.
“Of course, this attack will once again increase the pressure on Russia to move its units as far away from the Crimean peninsula as possible. They will also not be able to use the ports in Crimea, which are convenient and efficient in terms of their acceptable, which works quickly. Now they are forced to move the units, for example, to the port of Novorossiysk, which is located on the territory of the Russian Federation, and not on the occupied territories,” concluded Kiviselg.
Earlier, the spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuri Ignat, said that there were ammunition on board the destroyed Novocherkassk BDK, in particular the Shahed ones.
We remind you that Maxar satellite images with the remains of the landing ship Novocherkassk destroyed by Ukrainian forces in occupied Feodosia appeared in the public domain.
