The commander of the Ground Forces, Alexander Syrsky, announced this today, December 27, in his Telegram channel.
It is noted that:
- in the Kupyansk direction, the enemy is trying to capture Sinkovka at any cost and create conditions for blocking Kupyansk. After the losses suffered, the enemy regroups its units and continues to increase efforts by moving units in other directions. The total number of personnel of enemy assault units is more than two thousand;
- In the Liman direction, the aggressor resumed intensive offensive operations with the aim of displacing Ukrainian troops from the Serebryansky forestry area and expanding the Tor ledge. Also, the enemy does not give up attempts to capture Ternov and access the Black Stallion River;
- in the Seversky direction is trying to develop an offensive in the areas of Sporny and Belogorovka. Carries out training of assault units from among the airborne units for the development of an offensive in the direction of Soledar, Seversk;
- Intense offensive operations also do not stop in the Bakhmut direction. The enemy is trying to capture Bogdanovka and restore the lost position in the areas of Kleshchievka, Kurdyumovka and Andreevka. Uses assault groups of the “volunteer corps”, moving from the southern direction. Marine personnel from the Caspian Flotilla have been recruited.
The enemy has recently significantly increased the use of armored vehicles, kamikaze drones, and continues to conduct intense artillery attacks,” notes Syrsky. “In all directions of the enemy’s advance, our commanders at all levels are taking the necessary measures to strengthen defenses and prevent the enemy from advancing.
Syrsky noted that, despite the difficult situation, the Ukrainian military is inflicting significant losses on the enemy.
In the last week alone, in the Eastern direction, the invaders lost more than three thousand personnel, of which more than a thousand were killed. 361 units of enemy equipment were destroyed and damaged. Of these, 43 tanks, 83 armored combat vehicles, 69 artillery systems, he emphasized.
