Postnov was reported to have died “in the line of military duty” on the night of June 13-14.
The Council of Veterans indicated that the deceased had “performed service and combat missions” in Ukraine for more than four months, entered Gostomel as part of group V, participated in the “liberation” of a number of cities and town in the Kharkiv region and the “LPR”.
Postnov graduated from the Yekaterinburg Suvorov Military School, as well as the Faculty of Culture and Journalism of the Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. According to the distribution, he joined the internal troops of Russia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and worked as a correspondent, and later as a military media editor.
