The leadership of the parliamentary faction noted the need to adhere to the same line with President Zelensky, taking into account the “sensitivity of the issue,” therefore “the mobilization with society should be communicated by the military, from whom this request comes.” Ukrayinska Pravda reported this on December 26, citing sources in Servant of the People.
The leadership told parliamentarians that in this situation it is necessary to show discipline and refrain from commenting until the military leadership begins to comment on the provisions of the bill and explains why such provisions were proposed.
“Servants of the People” were urged not to comment on the submitted bill to Ukrainian and foreign media, not to express their opinion about it on social networks and in personal communications.
Let us remind you that on December 25, the Cabinet of Ministers registered a bill on mobilization in Ukraine in the Verkhovna Rada. People’s deputies proposed a number of innovations, including a change in the conscription age from 27 to 25 years, a 90-day leave for military personnel after captivity, and three months of basic military service for persons from 18 to 25 years old. They plan to send summonses electronically, and offer to prohibit those who evade from driving their own cars and using their own money. It is also proposed to mobilize people with disabilities
