The head of the KMVA staff helped city council deputies avoid mobilization. He illegally “sent” deputies from a military unit allegedly on a business trip to the capital’s military administration. The State Bureau of Investigation reported this on December 22.
It turned out that the civil servant helped three deputies of the Kyiv City Council and one of their assistants arrange a fake “business trip.” The illegal stay in the KMVA was facilitated by the commander of one of the military units of the territorial defense, where the men were supposed to serve in mobilization. These men did not appear for military service for almost a year, but received part-time salaries.
The official was charged with evasion of military service duties, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy (Part 4 of Article 409, Part 2 of Article 28 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He faces up to 10 years in prison.
Let us recall that in Zaporozhye, the head of one of the regional TCC and SP and three of his subordinates helped those liable for military service to evade military service. During 2022-2023, more than 300 people were helped to avoid conscription.
