A giant block of ice fell on the line in front of the military registration and enlistment office in the town of Lyubertsy in the Moscow region. His victim was a man who wanted to register for military service. This was reported by the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Moscow Region on Thursday, December 21.

“On December 20, 2023, ice and snow fell from the roof of a building located in the city of Lyubertsy, injuring four people. One of the victims later died in hospital from his injuries,” the report said.

Social networks reported that the deceased, 34-year-old Fedor Kuzmin, worked at a stepladder manufacturing company. At the hospital, he was diagnosed with a broken spine, broken ribs, ruptured liver and punctured lung. He lined up to register for military service at his place of registration.

It was also reported that his wife stood in line with Kuzmin. He was also among the victims – he had a fracture in his spine. The couple had children – according to various sources, three or four.
