72% of citizens would react negatively to such a personnel decision. Only 2% of respondents would have a positive attitude towards this. Another 21% of Ukrainians would react neutrally to such news, and 5% of respondents were unable to formulate their opinion. This is evidenced by a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).
Sociologists noted that among those surveyed who trust President Vladimir Zelensky, 71% would react negatively to the decision to fire Zaluzhny and only 3% would react positively to this.
In all regions, the majority of the population is critical of Zaluzhny’s resignation, KIIS emphasized.
The survey also showed that 43% of Ukrainians believe that there may be some disagreements or friction between the president and the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, only 8% believe that the situation is “very serious”, while the remaining 35% consider these misunderstandings not very serious.
At the same time, 39% of respondents do not believe in any conflict at all, and 18% could not decide on their opinion.
Let us recall that Vladimir Zelensky at the final press conference on December 19 stated that he has a working relationship with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zalezhny, but added that Zaluzhny is responsible for the result on the battlefield as commander-in-chief.
In recent months, numerous observers and journalistic sources have reported a serious conflict between the president and the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
