A man named Subhi Farwana and his brother have been working to transfer funds to Hamas for the past few years.
A Gazan man involved in transferring tens of millions of dollars to the military wing of Hamas has been killed in an airstrike. This is what the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said, reports The Times of Israel.
A man named Subhi Farwana and his brother have been working for the past few years to transfer funds to Hamas and its military group using a currency exchange office.
According to the IDF, Farwana was killed in an airstrike in Rafah in southern Gaza.
The statement said Hamas’ military wing depends on incoming funds through such exchanges to fight.
Such exchangers receive funds from Iran and other countries abroad and launder them for Hamas, bypassing international funding systems.
“Farwana is one of the few and well-known exchangers that have been able to transfer money needed for military operations to the military wing of Hamas,” TsAGAL said.
Farwana has transferred tens of millions of dollars to Hamas over the past few years, as well as during the current war, “knowing that these funds are necessary for the continued suitability of (Hamas’ military wing) to fight .”
As we have already written, the Israeli military destroyed the parliament building of the Palestinian radical group Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
