After the second Maidan in Ukraine, Western countries took the “path of lawlessness” and “just forced us to respond to this initiative,” the owner of the Kremlin said cynically.
The war in Ukraine in 2014 was started not by Russia, but allegedly by the United States. This version was stated by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin at an extended meeting of the board of the Ministry of Defense in Moscow on Tuesday, December 19.
According to Putin, in order to maintain its status in Europe, the United States “started a war (in Ukraine – ed.) in 2014.” And “gradually, unfortunately or not, we have no other choice – and we have to get involved,” said the President of the Russian Federation.
The owner of the Kremlin cynically says that the Western countries after the second Maidan in Ukraine took the “path of lawlessness” and “just forced us to respond to this initiative.”
At the same time, Putin assured that Russia never intended and did not plan in the future to attack NATO countries.
“Why do we need these NATO countries? We don’t need them – we don’t need them, and we don’t need them now, and we won’t need them in the future,” the Russian President allegedly said.
Let’s remember that in November Vladimir Putin called the war against the Ukrainian people “our attempts to achieve justice.”
