The head of the Russian Orthodox Church was included in the wanted list on the initiative of the Security Service of Ukraine. Gundyaev has been wanted since November 11 as “a person hiding from the pre-trial investigation authorities.” This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
It is indicated that Kirill is accused under Part 3 of Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. It is also reported that the Russian patriarch has already been chosen as a preventive measure in the form of detention.
Let us recall that on November 4, the Security Service of Ukraine informed the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Kirill (Vladimir Gundyaev) of suspicion not only under the above-mentioned Part 3 of Art. 110, but also part 3 of Art. 436-2 (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants) and part 5 of Art. 27 and part 2 of Art. 437 (planning, preparation, unleashing and waging aggressive war) UCU.
The head of the Russian Orthodox Church contributed to Russian armed aggression and denied the war crimes of the invaders. In particular, the attacker blessed the Russian military for the war and called on believers to unite in the war against Ukraine.
The SBU found out that Gundyaev massively uses representatives of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate in Ukraine under his control in his actions.
