This is a critical time to support Ukraine. Today, the Swedish government approved a winter package for Ukraine in the amount of 124 million euros for civil infrastructure, the report said.
Swedish authorities said the EU’s continued financial support for Ukraine was key and stressed that the Ukrainian people are fighting Russian invaders not only for their survival, but also for the security and freedom of Europe.
Let us remind you that on December 14, the German coalition reached an agreement on the budget for 2024, which will allow the country to avoid a shutdown – stopping the state apparatus in the new year. The agreement provides for covering a deficit of 17 billion euros. Berlin said it would continue to provide assistance to Ukraine “as previously planned and for as long as needed.” Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Germany has directly provided Ukraine with 1 billion 737 million euros.
