The US House of Representatives has supported a bill that would allow the extension of military assistance to Ukraine.

Congressmen with the required number of votes agreed on the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI), for which $300 million is allocated. for the fiscal year More than two-thirds of the House of Representatives voted in favor. This was reported by the Voice of America.
It is noted that this amount is significantly less than the proposal of American President Joe Biden to provide Ukraine with $61 billion. The legislation would also extend through 2024 the U.S. president’s authority to provide or lease defense items to Ukraine and other Eastern European countries affected by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
