The head of the Hungarian government does not stop trying to convince Europe that Ukraine’s stay in the EU “does not meet the interests” of Budapest.
Ukraine’s rapid entry into the European Union is said to have “devastating consequences for European farmers, the EU budget and European security.” Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced this on X (formerly Twitter).
“It is not in the interest of either Hungary or the European Union, so we cannot support it,” Orban said.

As reported, Hungary will agree not to veto the EU’s proposal to allocate funds for Ukraine in the amount of 50 billion euros, but Brussels must unfreeze the 30 billion euros allocated for Hungary.
Earlier, Transcarpathia’s Hungarian communities called on Orban to support Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
