Norway will give Ukraine an additional $800 million

Norway’s financial and humanitarian support for Ukraine will reach $1 billion by 2023.

Norway will provide Ukraine with additional financial and humanitarian aid totaling $800 million. Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stere said this at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in Oslo on Wednesday, December 13.

“Today Norway is announcing clear additional support for Ukraine. We are increasing our financial and humanitarian support to around $800 million this year. We also want to announce that we will support the Ukrainian people in 2024, ” said the Norwegian prime minister.

According to Stere, the money will go to the wages of nurses, doctors, teachers, other workers and various social projects.

In total, Norwegian financial support for Ukraine will reach $1 billion.

We remind you that this morning President Vladimir Zelensky arrived on a visit to Norway. He will also attend the Nordic summit in Oslo.

In the past two days, Zelensky visited the United States. He met with American President Joe Biden, members of Congress, Pentagon leadership and heads of the IMF and World Bank.
