Vladimir Zelensky, President of Ukraine, arrived in Norway today, December 13, on a previously unannounced visit.

The visit concerns the issue of supporting the defense of Ukraine from Russian invasion. Reuters reports this.
The Norwegian government reported that Zelensky and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre will hold meetings, in particular, on Norway’s continued support for Ukraine.
Norway will support Ukraine’s fight for its defense. We provide targeted, long-term support to help Ukraine in its fight for freedom and democracy,” Stere said in a statement. — Ukraine’s efforts are important to protect freedom and security here in Norway.
The leaders of Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland will also meet today in the Norwegian capital Oslo for a planned Nordic summit.
Zelensky noted on his page on the social network X that he arrived in Oslo to participate in the second Ukraine-Northern Europe Summit.
Together with the leaders of Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Finland and Sweden, we will talk about strengthening defense, political and economic cooperation, about our common future in Europe. Our goal is security and a just and strong peace on the continent,” he emphasized.
Zelensky also plans:
- conduct bilateral negotiations with the Summit participants,
- meet King Harald V of Norway;
- visit the Storting (the country’s parliament);
- communicate with Norwegian politicians and businessmen.
“I personally thank Norway for all the timely and principled support it has provided to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion,” Zelensky added.
And it was delivered to Oslo for the second Ukraine-Northern Europe Summit.
