Among them are attacks on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, treason and sabotage.
According to one version of SBU investigators, Russian special services may be responsible for this hacker attack, the SBU press service reported.
The timing of the resumption of Kyivstar services is not completely clear. According to the company’s CEO, the hacker attack was very powerful – part of the virtual IT infrastructure was destroyed. Kyivstar promises to provide compensation to subscribers who had no connection or could not use the operator’s services.
Kyivstar told Rakurs that on the morning of December 12, the company’s communication network became the target of a powerful hacker attack, which caused a technical failure, as a result of which communication services and Internet access were temporarily unavailable.
To record the circumstances and consequences of illegal actions to interfere with the activities of the Kyivstar network, the operator attracted representatives of law enforcement agencies and special government services, who are now working in the company’s office.
Today it is known that the personal data of subscribers has not been compromised. Currently, the operator’s specialists are working to eliminate the consequences of the hacker attack to quickly restore communications and provide services.
Kyivstar will definitely provide compensation to subscribers who had no connection or could not use the operator’s services. The company apologized to subscribers for the temporary inconvenience.
