There is no way to deliver money to people in the occupied territories, but their funds will not be lost – they are stored in Oschadbank accounts.
Approximately 300 thousand Ukrainians in the occupied territories will not receive pensions. This was announced by the Minister of Social Policy Marina Lazebnaya in a telethon on June 14.
According to the head of the Ministry of Social Policy, despite the war in Ukraine, not a single payment to society has been reduced and funding continues regardless of the territory in which a person lives, even if he moves abroad.
However, there are problems in obtaining funds in the temporarily occupied territory. In the case of payments with a bank card, the money is received, and if someone receives it by mail, “then it is a question of whether the postman will deliver it.”
“Two mechanisms have been developed. If the mail does not work, then by default a person opens an account with Oschadbank and his pension is saved … And the second is a mirror algorithm, if the bank does not work, then the mail must be delivered, “specified Lazebnaya.
According to him, so far there are about 300,000 pensioners who do not receive payments. At the same time, the minister assured that the money would be saved and that people would receive it once they left for the controlled territory.
Earlier it was reported that since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, more than 140 billion hryvnias of pensions were paid, as well as more than 50 billion hryvnias to teachers and doctors. Despite the war, the government carried out all payments to society, including the indexing of pensions.
