The President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, took part in the ceremony of the transfer of presidential powers and the inauguration of the newly elected President of the Republic of Argentina, Javier Miley. The press service of the head of state reported this on December 10.
“This is a new beginning for Argentina, and I want President Miley and the entire Argentine people to surprise the world with their achievements. I also trust that the bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Argentina will continue to expand,” said Zelensky.
The inauguration ceremony, which was attended by the former President of Argentina Alberto Fernandez and invited foreign representatives, leaders and members of the government, was held at the Argentine National Congress in Buenos Aires.
Miley swore to the constitution. After that, the attributes of power were transferred to the new leader of Argentina.
After the inauguration, Zelensky, together with other representatives of foreign states, took part in the ceremony congratulating Miley on the inauguration, which took place at the Argentine Government House. The President has not formally interacted with heads of state and government of foreign countries.
