The Commander-in-Chief of the Swedish Armed Forces, General Mikael Büden, visited the units of the 45th separate artillery brigade fighting in eastern Ukraine. The public relations service of the 45th ABBr reported this the previous day.
During the meeting, General Buden spoke to artillerymen and infantrymen training in Sweden and highly appreciated their combat work.
The general asked if the training received by the soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Sweden was useful. Ukrainian servicemen responded that they began to use their skills from the first days on the battlefield.
The soldiers of the 45th Separate Brigade thanked General Büden and Sweden for supporting the Ukrainian people in the struggle for independence.
Earlier this week, General Budin said he was waiting for political decisions on the Gripen fighters. The Ukrainian Armed Forces can accommodate them, although the main aircraft is the F-16.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces also demonstrated the Swedish Archer self-propelled gun at the front for the first time. These powerful installations are transferred to Ukraine free of charge.
