The parliamentarians voted on the first reading for a document that provides punishment for breaking the curfew.
The Verkhovna Rada supported the bill introducing a system of fines for curfew violations. In the first reading, 233 representatives of the people voted for it. This is evidenced by the bill’s “card” on the parliament’s website.
If the document is adopted, the legal concept of “violation of curfew” will appear in Ukraine. A new article will be added to the Code of Administrative Violations, which will specify the fines for this type of offense.
In its original form, the bill provides for a fine in the amount of 500 to 1,000 thousand rubles, that is, from 8,500 to 17,000 Hryvnia. For repeated violations within a year, the fine will be doubled.
Fines will also be issued for traders who violate the requirements of the blackout regime where it is implemented.
“The adoption of the bill will help ensure public order during martial law and police enforcement of the measures of the legal regime of martial law by introducing the possibility of applying administrative sanctions to those who do not comply in these steps and/or in violation. them,” the explanatory note states. in the bill.
