The invaders began to massively expand their defensive buildings at the entrance to the city. Some of these buildings have been preserved from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The enemy restored them and brought them into combat-ready condition. In addition, these structures are being massively expanded to the east and west of Mariupol. On December 9, Advisor to the Mayor of Mariupol Pyotr Andryushchenko reported this on Telegram.
This is what the defensive structures look like right next to the entrance to the city from the Donetsk direction, he noted and published a video.
According to the mayor’s adviser, the Russians are not just expanding their defensive structures, but are systematically training the occupation garrison.
However, Andryushchenko called to refrain from fantasies and victorious populist reports, because the battle for Mariupol will not be easy.
Let us remind you that the Russian invaders began to build improvised military bases outside the industrial zone of the factories in temporarily occupied Mariupol. At least 100 people, ammunition and communication stations are concentrated at these facilities.
