Ukraine evacuated another 39 citizens from the Gaza Strip.

The women and children were returned home on December 8. The mission to rescue Ukrainians was carried out by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. The successful evacuation of Ukrainians from the conflict zone was made possible thanks to the coordinated and clear actions of Ukrainian intelligence officers and diplomats. The GUR reported this on Facebook.
The Ukrainians were evacuated by SkyUp Airlines. Intelligence noted that in November 2023, 145 Ukrainian citizens were removed from the Gaza Strip.
Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevgeny Korniychuk previously reported that during the temporary truce, the Ukrainian Embassy in Israel received another 146 requests from Ukrainian citizens wishing to evacuate from the Gaza Strip.
Let us recall that in November Egypt began allowing foreigners from the Gaza Strip – according to pre-compiled lists – and the seriously wounded two weeks ago. In particular, on November 13, 826 foreign passport holders left the Gaza Strip for Egypt through the Rafah checkpoint, and this was a record number of foreigners evacuated from the Gaza Strip in one day.
