The first adviser to the French Embassy in Ukraine, Bruno Cassanel, has “definitely denied” the comment attributed to him about a possible visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Ukraine. This was announced on the night of Tuesday, June 14, by the embassy on its Facebook page.
“Mr. Counselor also has no authority to comment on the matter. He is currently on vacation in France and has no specific information about the said visit, which he clearly told reporters in response to his questions,” the report said.
The French embassy also said they were requesting that the article be withdrawn.
On the eve of Suspіlne, cited Cassanel, reported that Macron’s visit to Ukraine is scheduled for June 15. At the same time, earlier on Monday, June 13, the Elysee Palace announced that Macron has no clear plans for a trip to Ukraine.
The media also reported that Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi will visit Kyiv on June 16.
