The head of state put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on sanctions against 185 Russians and 181 Russian companies. The corresponding presidential decree No. 813/2023 was published on December 7 on the presidential website.
At least two associates of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, have been added to the sanctions list. Apti Alaudinov and Ramzan Tsitsulaev were subject to restrictions. Alduinov is a major general from the Russian Guard, commands the Akhmat special detachment and works as Kadyrov’s assistant for interaction with law enforcement agencies. And Tsitsulaev was an employee of the Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
In addition, sanctions were imposed against the managers, owners and co-founders of enterprises associated with the Russian military-industrial complex and suppliers of weapons components.
In particular, SPEL ID Solution supplies components for Russian Lancet drones. And the Lesta-M Company supplied microcircuits produced in Latvia for the needs of the Russian defense industry. Also on the sanctions list was JSC Special Economic Zone Alabuga in Tatarstan, where Iranian Shahed UAVs are assembled and modernized.
These individuals and companies will have their assets blocked, trade operations, resource transit, flights and transportation across the territory of Ukraine will be limited. Sanctions also prevent the withdrawal of capital from Ukraine, the cancellation or suspension of licenses and the ban on participation in privatization/leasing, the ban on technology transfer, etc.
Let us recall that on November 18, President Vladimir Zelensky signed the enactment of the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on sanctions against more than 100 individuals and 37 legal entities. The sanctions list included Dmitry Sablin, Dmitry Svyatash, Dmitry Tabachnik, Yuri Kit, Mykola Azarov, Sergey Aksenov and Oleg Tsarev.
