The new package includes air defense systems, additional ammunition for HIMARS systems, artillery ammunition, and anti-tank missiles.

The US will provide new military aid to Ukraine at a cost of $175 million. This was stated in a statement by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Wednesday, December 6.

The new package includes air defense capabilities, additional ammunition for the HIMARS system, artillery ammunition, high-speed anti-radiation missiles and anti-tank missiles.

It also includes small arms, explosive munitions for clearing obstacles, equipment to protect critical national infrastructure, as well as spare parts, support equipment, services, training and transportation.

“If Congress does not approve the President’s request for additional national security funding, this will be one of the last security assistance packages we can provide to Ukraine,” Blinken said.

Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden called on Congressmen to approve a package of additional aid to Ukraine.

“This is an urgent matter. Congress must approve additional aid to Ukraine,” Biden said at the White House. He added that congressmen should resolve this issue before the Christmas holidays.

Biden called for approval of his request to the presidential administration for more than $100 billion, of which $60 billion is expected to fund aid to Ukraine.

We remind you that the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, threatens to refuse to support new funding for aid to Ukraine if the White House does not agree to strengthen border security.
