The Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case into the murder of former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ilya Kiva in the Odintsovo city district.

According to preliminary investigation data, in the evening, in the park of one of the cottage villages in the village of Suponevo, Odintsovo urban district, an unknown person fired shots at the victim from an unidentified weapon, the official statement says.
The man died on the spot from his injuries. The identity of the murdered man has been established – this is ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ilya Kiva, the Investigative Committee confirmed.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense previously officially took responsibility for the murder of the traitorous politician of Ukraine. In November he was sentenced in absentia to 14 years in prison.
The Investigative Committee writes in its press release that “a group of the most experienced investigators and criminologists” will investigate the case, “all possible versions of the incident are being worked out.” Muscovite investigators have not yet named the possible organizers of the assassination attempt.
