The head of OP Ermak called on the US Congress to approve additional funding for Ukraine as soon as possible.
Without the help of the United States of America, there is a great risk that Ukraine will lose the war with the Russian Federation. This was said by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Ermak, Voice of America reports.
During his visit to Washington, Ermak called on the US Congress to approve additional funding for Ukraine as soon as possible.
“If the aid that is currently being discussed in Congress is delayed – I don’t mean not accepted – it will create a great risk that we will be in the same position that we are in now. And of course this will very likely make it impossible to continue the liberation of the territories and will create a great risk of losing the war,” he said.
According to Ermak, Ukraine needs not only military aid, but also budgetary support.
“Ukraine is now working with partners to complete the plan for next year. We want to win as soon as possible, because two years have passed and two years is a long time,” said the head of the OP.
We remind you that the Democratic majority in the US Senate presented a package of national security measures worth about $111 billion. The bill provides $15.1 billion in support to Ukraine in areas such as “military training, intelligence sharing” and “a strengthened presence in the European Command’s area of responsibility.”
Earlier, US House Speaker Mike Johnson threatened to withdraw support for new aid funding to Ukraine if the White House did not agree to beef up border security.
