The Bureau of Economic Security said the attackers were making markets in one of the national park areas.
The Bureau of Economic Security (BEB) exposed the large-scale production of fake food products in Mezhyhirya Park, in the territory where the former property of the former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych is located. This is stated in the BEB message.
“BEB detectives exposed a group of people who organized the production and distribution of fake food products under the guise of well-known Ukrainian and international brands,” the report said.
The attackers organized the mass production and packaging of fake sweets, coffee, groceries (spices, coffee and cocoa products, instant noodles), waffles, chewing gum and other products.
BEB employees conducted searches in warehouses in Kyiv and in the region, in places on the territory of Mezhyhirya and found automatic lines of packaging and labeling, packaging containers with logos of famous brand, large volumes of raw materials from which counterfeit products are made, and products without documentary evidence.
The seized counterfeit products, raw materials for their production, and packaging materials weigh approximately 200 tons.
Underground production in Mezhyhirya used the electricity of the National Park.
Currently, a pre-trial investigation is conducted under the article Illegal use of a mark for goods and services, a company name, a qualified indication of the origin of a product (Part 3 of Article 229 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
As we already wrote, 38 thousand liters of fake alcohol were seized in Kyiv and Chernigov regions. Counterfeit products are poured under the guise of different brands, using fake excise tax stamps.
