Sirens will not be activated if it is known that these aircraft do not pose a threat. However, it is not always possible to know this. Press Secretary of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ignat spoke about this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
According to him, NATO partners are trying to inform Kyiv as quickly and fully as possible about this or that MiG-31K flight.
Plus our intelligence. But there is not always information whether it is flying with or without a missile, it is just a flight, a combat sortie, or just a training flight… If there is accurate information that the MiG-31K does not pose a threat, then, of course, the alarm will not be declared, he said .
According to Ignat, the Air Force will in any case inform about MiG takeoffs. He also added that the state leadership instructed the relevant ministries and departments to develop a solution to prevent the sorties of Dagger carriers from paralyzing the whole of Ukraine.
Let us recall that in November the Air Force announced that in Ukraine they would continue to announce an air raid alert when the Kinzhal hypersonic missile carrier takes off. They will act this way because the military does not always have information – be it a combat mission or a training mission.
