On the night of December 4, 2023, the enemy attacked with 23 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs from Cape Chauda in occupied Crimea and launched an X-59 guided missile from the airspace of the occupied Kherson region. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
Air defense operated in at least nine regions of Ukraine. Fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the air attack.
The defenders managed to shoot down 18 Shaheds and one KAR.
Let us recall that the day before, in the downed Shahed, the Ukrainian military discovered a new type of ammunition weighing almost 40 kg of a thermobaric charge with three explosives. This charge can destroy a residential building.
