In Ukraine, a court arrested the assets of a Russian oligarch in a Ukrainian company for the production and sale of mineral water. On Monday, June 13, the Economic Security Bureau (BEB) reported.
It was noted that the business through Cypriot companies belongs to an oligarch from Russia. The owners tried to avoid sanctions and nationalization. They planned to reclaim their own assets through fabricated transactions.
On the recommendation of the BEB, the court arrested the assets of the oligarch in the amount of UAH 53.4 million.
The message did not mention the name of the oligarch, however, according to the publication Ukrainskaya Pravda, it was about the Russian sanctioned oligarch Mikhail Fridman. Along with partners German Khan and Petr Aven, he owns IDS Group Ukraine, which is a “son” of the international group IDS Borjomi International.
In Ukraine, this business is an importer of mineral water Borjomirepresented by brands Morshynska at Mirgoodskaya.
According to consulting agencies, in 2021 the value of the company will be more than UAH 10 billion.
By the way, Mikhail Fridman is a native of Lviv, has Russian and Israeli citizenship. He is a co-owner and chairman of the supervisory board of the Alfa Group consortium, which includes large private Alfa Bank.
Recall that last month, the assets of Fridman’s companies in Alfa-Bank were arrested more than UAH 12.4 billion.
