For attacks on Ukraine, the invaders are using 300 aircraft from the military strategic aviation fleet.
The Russian Federation has one and a half thousand combat aircraft and strategic aviation helicopters. The spokesman of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Yuri Ignat, announced this on Friday, December 1, in an interview with journalist Dmitry Gordon.
At the same time, he pointed out that Russia has only three or four dozen aircraft at the air bases in Belarus.
“Combat aircraft rarely fly out of Belarus, but they still fly. In Russia, there is a military airport in almost every city; in Crimea there are about five airfields,” said a PSU representative.
Ignat listed the main combat aircraft in the arsenal of the Russian Ministry of Defense:
-
Tu-22 M3;
-
Tu-95;
-
Tu-60;
-
Su-24;
-
Mig-29;
-
Su-30;
-
Su-27;
-
Su-34;
-
Su-35;
-
Su-25 and Ka-52, Mi-24, Mi-28 helicopters.
Russia is not transferring Su-35 aircraft to Iran, although they were paid for more than a year ago. We are talking about 50 fighters.
As of October 2023, Russia has produced 115 precision-guided missiles, with a total of approximately 870 missiles in its stockpile.
