Russia plans to continue to “flood” China and other developing economies with energy resources, Dmitry Peskov clarified.
Russian authorities are planning their actions taking into account the fact that US sanctions will last “many years.” Kremlin Speaker Dmitry Peskov said this on Friday, December 1.
“We have no doubt that these sanctions (USA against Russia – estimated TASS) For many years. And we continue from here, developing our line,” he said.
This is how Peskov responded to the words of US Undersecretary of State for Energy Resources Geoffrey Pyatt that the American government plans to halve Russia’s revenues from oil and gas exports by the end of this decade.
The Kremlin spokesman noted that Moscow knows that the US sanctions will last for a long time “even without a statement from the prominent representative,” but that “the American-centered world is ending, and a period of diversification is beginning , including international economic relations.”
Peskov drew attention to the fact that “there is an economy that is chasing the heels of the United States – it is China, there are growing economies that have their own needs for energy resources and energy resources.”
“That’s why the world is so much more diverse than the United States,” he stressed.
Earlier, the media reported that the United States was examining 100 ships for violating oil sanctions against Russia. Companies that operate ships in about 30 countries around the world have received letters from Washington.
And this week it became known that the United States threatened companies with prison for violating the price ceiling for oil from the Russian Federation.
