A resident of Ryazan, suspected of organizing a drone attack on a military airport and sabotage on a railway, was detained in Russia. This is reported by the Russian agency Interfax in connection with the FSB press service.

“A citizen of Russia and Italy, a resident of Ryazan, born in 1988, was involved in committing acts of sabotage and terrorism on military and transport infrastructure facilities in the Ryazan region,” the special service reported.
The FSB said that in February the detainee was recruited by an employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in Istanbul, after which he underwent sabotage training in Latvia “with the direct participation of the special services of Latvian” and returned to Ryazan in March.
“On July 20, 2023, on the instructions of a curator from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, he made explosive devices with which he equipped four quadcopters and used them to launch attack on the Dyaghilevo military airport,” the FSB said.
